While the Simon Family JCC is closed, check out the JCC Virtual Experience! Find exercise videos from some of your favorite JCC instructors, work out with JCCs across North America, and access more than 95 workouts for FREE from our friends at Les Mills. Click to get started.

  • Soccer Shots: The Soccer Shots program has new guidelines in place to follow CDC guidelines and keep your children safe, which you can read more about here. There are four eight-week sessions open for the fall – register at the JCC front desk or call 757-321-2338. The price is $120 for members and $160 for potential members, which includes a jersey. 
    • Mondays (10/5-11/30)
      • K-1st grade - 3:30-4:15
      • 2nd-3rd grade - 4:30-5:15
    • Wednesdays (10/7-12/9)
      • 3-4 years - 3:30-4:00
      • 3-4 years - 4:15-4:45

  • The Jewish Community Relations Council's Your Vote is Your Voice Series: Jennifer Steinhauer, October 20, 7:30 PM. Join the Weinstein JCC of Richmond for a joint community discussion with The Firsts: The Inside Story of the Women Reshaping Congress, author Jennifer Steinhauer and hear about the 2018 freshman class of Congressional women change makers. The Konikoff Center for Learning is Tidewater's hub for experiential Jewish education and engagement at the United Jewish Federation of Tidewater and Simon Family JCC. Through high-impact learning experiences including programs, classes, workshops, and symposiums that span generations and interests, the Konikoff Center for Learning engages, educates, equips, and inspires individuals to deepen their Jewish knowledge and connection.

  • Modern Hebrew: From Biblical Roots to Everyday ConversationA 6-Week course at the Konikoff Center for Learning at the United Jewish Federation of Tidewater – TUESDAYS (October 13, 20, 27 and November 10, 17, 24 @ 12 PM on Zoom).  Most Modern Hebrew vocabulary words are derived from biblical root words. Class participants will learn the language starting with examples of how biblical root words morph into the contemporary Hebrew language.
